OK what is this sisterlocks thing I thought to myself that costs an arm and a leg to do. What hairstyle could possibly costs so much and be worth so much. I started my research - WHAT so much information about black hair WOW this is interesting. Research research research, questions, questions, questions. Nai explain what this is - Nai had a fountain of information. I became more intrigued... umm this sounds like something I will like. So Nai and I visited the consultant and wow heads of sisterlocks being retightened wow I was amazed. Now I always like to research everything so I was so surprised this was a topic I had not heard of. But you know what I needed no more research. I booked my appointment for months ahead.
I spent wished the next three months away wanting them to go faster I wanted my hair done now. The more I researched the more I wanted sisterlocks them I couldn't wait.
May 31st 2011 finally came and my natural afro was now loads of little tiny sisterlocks. They are spikey, they have a mind of their own, they are short and funky but I love them. I have had not bad remarks yet most people love them even my husband who I thought would hate the early days.
I can't wait now for them to grow longer and to mature so I can do all sorts to it. Freedom is finally hair no more curling, straightening, weaving, braiding, headaches from plaiting too tight, burns from the relaxer no more...Just onwards to hair freedom.
